  • Looking for “natural” solubilizers

    Hi!
    Recently I’m looking for solubilizers that can be considered as “natural” (Ecocert/Cosmos/Natrue) that are not ethoxylated. I already know Ethyl Alcohol, but the manager is currently trying to avoid this component.
    I did a quick search and found the two following:
    - Tego® Solv 61 (heard a certain bzzz about this one earlier)
    • INCI: Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate (and) Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate (and) Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate (and) Polyglyceryl-6 Ricinoleate

    - Heptyl Glucoside
    Anyone have experience with them or other non-ethoxylated suggestions?
    Thank you very much!  ;)

    I would try to get as many samples as possible to test. In my experience these natural solubilizers often only work for a small percentage of ingredients i try them on, and often must be used at a much higher ratio when they do.

    Many thanks to all for the suggestions and guidance. I’ll take a look at the ones that were nominated. I will request samples as soon as possible (:

    @GeorgeBenson I will request respective technical materials when I do so, maybe they will say something about these proportions and the ingredients they solubilize

    @Lab

    Generally, Poly Suga Mulse D9 is the best solubilizer, but as mentioned it all depends on what you are trying to solubilize.  I ususally start off with PSM D9, but if it does not work, move on to other options or combinations of solubilizers
