Hi all, just stumbled upon the ingredients list of ingredients on Replenishing Night Cream from Goop: http://shop.goop.com/products/replenishing-night-cream

This cream is presented in a regular open jar packaging, and yet the preservative system that they claim to be using is presumably weak ( at least for SUCH packaging): Gluconolactone, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate - these were the only anti- microbials that I could find in the ingredients list. My question is: is this product  safe from the point of view of bacterial contamination? What do you think? Any comments, anyone?

The Juice Beauty people (who are responsible for this product) have a history of making products that are not adequately preserved.

Thanks, Perry, I see now - it is just mind boggling how reckless people can be, unless … they are using some other preservatives that they don’t show on the ingredients list ;(

    Absolutely!

It’s terrible when marketing positions are put on a higher level of importance than product safety.
