  Is there any place for retinyl palmitate?

  Hi All,
  I’m searching the literature.. in terms of efficacy in anti ageing products does your experience show there is any place for retinyl palmitate or is the efficacy evidence just not there? I like that it’s stable, low s/e profile. Maybe it has a bad rap because it’s been unfairly compared at similar % in formulations to retinol and it should have been used at a higher % or at least compared to retinol as retinol equivalents? Eg 0.3% retinol to 0.6% retinyl palmitate?

  The efficacy of retinyl palmitate is not proven.  See this research review article.
