  How to sanitize lipbalm tubes

  Hi,
  I’d like to find out how to sanitize my lip balm tubes before I fill them. The answers on the internet are all over the place! Due to allergies, I won’t be using any synthetic preservatives (I’m going to test out PhytoCide Elderberry OS, INCI: Sambuca NIgra Fruit Extract instead).
  I was thinking of using a bath of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and then letting air dry. Will this dry out of them all the way? I’m using white polypropylene oval tubes.

  Yes, 91% IPA will dry completely.

  Using something like a mister will be better than a standard spray bottle.

   Thank you for the tip. I use a standard spray bottle at the moment! So the mist will do instead of dipping them in a bath of IPA? And can I just mist my clean jars instead of dipping also?

  A lot depends on how clean your components are to begin with.

  Fortunately, you can test for this, by swabbing a representative sample of your components:
