How does Lamesoft PO 65 increase viscosity?
I’ve seen mention of Lamesoft PO 65 (INCI Coco-Glucosides, Glyceryl Oleate) increasing viscosity in surfactant systems, but what’s the mechanism behind it? Do other refatting agents also increase viscosity in a similar way?

I’ve always considered it as refatting agent rather than viscosity increasing agent with the refatting coming from the glyceryl oleate part. So if you have access to glyceryl oleate itself you may choose to use that although you may need a bit of heat.

its a good lipid layer enhancer with surfactants and adds mildness to wash off products. Have noticed it increasing viscocity in sulfate free systems not worked with sulfates. it is itself very viscous as a product.
