  • Help me plissss…..Citric acid in Oil phase not in waterphased

    Dear all,

    i have a problem in my trial. i want to make a lipgloss and the lipgloss need to add Citric acid in it (for the colour bromo acid). 
    i already try to add citric acid to oil phase then heated but the CA is settled in bottom of beakerglass.
    i try to solute the citric acid with water and add some w/o emulsifier then i add to oil phase the colour of oil is change become cloudy.
    i want to achieve the final oil is clear transparent.

    What solubilizer do you use? Have try PEG 40/60 HCO, citric acid only to guard pH to avoid color change, you just need really small amount, even drop already work to avoid color change bromo acid pigment

    You should try solubilizers as polysorbate or propylene glycol, note the effect and leave it here.

    Why do you opt for a solid acid which is also one of the least oil soluble ones amongst cosmetic ingredients?
