    I made some toothpaste flavoured with Laphroaig 10 (50 g/KG of toothpaste)

    It is surprisingly good, with a nice smoky/peaty flavour. Being processed at 60°C and a vacuum of -90 kPa, I doubt there is much alcohol left - certainly not enough to get you over the limit if you brush your teeth in the morning.

    All samples ( 20 x 50 g) disappeared very quickly, so sorry gents, nothing left.

    @Herbnerd

    Absolutely, there are often ingredients and/or product formats that clients do not request. I often create formulas for my own benefit so I can experiment with a wider variety of ingredients and delivery systems. Best way to learn, imho.

    My hubby would really enjoy the ‘ropey/peaty’ flavor if I made this same flavor of toothpaste for him. Har har!

    I made a lotion with vanillyl butyl ether for our aching feet and backs. It gives a little warmth, but nothing to “write home” about.

    I’ve also tried niacinamide in a lotion, but it did ZILCHO to lighten up sunshine-caused skin splotches. I took before & after photos & noticed NO difference. I did adjust the pH as recommended when adding the niacinamide.

    Yes, absolutely.

    Many years ago I was doodling and came up with the idea of a hydrating two-phase face mist. It had a water phase and an oil phase together in the bottle. Before use, it was shaken, thus mixing the phase temporarily, and then sprayed on the face.

    I mentioned it to a brand we were manufacturing for that was distributed in China. We produced a test batch for them to test in the Chinese market. It took off, so we started manufacturing this product seriously.
