Global Compliance Requirements Databases for Cosmetic Ingredients?
Where can you find databases and/or search engines (preferably free and open access) that allow you to search by INCI name for comprehensive information regarding cosmetic product compliance requirements, restrictions, allowable content limits, etc., listed by country, trading block (such as EU and ASEAN), international standard, and/or other third party regulatory authority?
Is there such a one-stop-shop for global cosmetic compliance data? If not, what are the most comprehensive databases that taken together would provide current and accurate data on INCI compliance across most of the world?
Chemical industry INCI search services like Knowde and Chemberry provide sparse information in INCI product profiles like “China compliant”, but nothing else. What about use limits in China and other basic cosmetic compliance requirements in China for that same INCI? What about that same INCI’s compliance requirements data for the EU, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, India and the rest of the world?

The subscription service at UL Prospector has all these functions. It is $9 a month I believe.

depending on the company you want to buy from, you could ask them if they have any information on their products regulatory status in whatever countries you are interested in.
otherwise you could search each countries regulatory information which should be free and open access (ex health canada)
