  Formulating a matting gel for skin decoration

  Hello everyone, 

  I am working on a matting gel which could be used for skin decorations like temporary tattoos. I found these ingredients used in similar products. However, for my project I would like to make this formula myself. The ingredients consists of Ethyl Cellulose, Castor Oil, 2 Propanol and Water.

  I have minor experience with formulating things, even though I have a biology laboratory background. I was wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to prepare such matting gel with the given ingredients. Which ratio’s should I add each component in and in what order? Or is it just a matter of experimentation?
