    Hope everybody is doing alright.

For some reason dropplets appear in the pump bottle I store my hair cream. When I use jars I have the same problem.

The bottles and jars I use are made of PET. I live in the UK.

This evaporated water ends up messing with the fragrance.

I cap the product next day after doing the cream. I don’t know what else to do. I don’t even know why this happens

    q.s water

    1% glycerine

    18% oils

    2% cetyl alcohol

    5% BTMS 25

1% euxyl k 700 (BA, PE, Potassium Sorbate)

    0,3 % fragrance

What does your oil phase contain?

You may use an additional high HLB emulsifier (I never trust only one) and you can also use a gum or polymer to help in stabilization.

I concur with Zoya’s above recommendation.

I would also like to ask what your water and oil phase addition instructions look like. It is imperative that you are using the proper method of addition in conjunction with appropriate temperature and mixing.

    thanks for replying back.

I don’t know if I have explained myself correctly, the dropplets don’t appear on the top of the product, but in the surface of the plastic bottle. I am experiencing condensation of the water content of my cream.

I have xanthan gum and guar gum so I could try adding one of them. But I would like to understand why or how could be ta thickener solution? Would they act like a water trap? (sorry If I sound stupid).

What I do is heat both oil phase and water phase for 20´low heat, then I add some water to compensate the water loss. After I pour the water phase into the oil phase and I blend with stick blender until the emulsion is formed. I stir from time to time until is cool and I add the preservative and lower the pH. Then I let the product sit all night and store it next day.
