    Hello All,

I was hoping to get some advice on different cleaning and sanitization solutions you’d recommend for setting up a manufacturing facility.

What chemical solution would you use cleaning mixing tanks? I am looking to products that are anhydrous, gels, emulsions, oil blends.

What chemical solution would you use for sanitizing mixing tanks? I am wondering if an alcohol 70% solution would work?

Some information to help provide is that I plan on using an industrial electric water pressure and have my team clean it manually.

    Thanks

It depends on what you are sanitizing, it must be compatible or non-reactive. For example, there are mixtures of hydrogen oxide and peracetic acid designed specifically to clean tanks.

Ethanol 70° works fine for spraying, but there is no residual effect. If you follow the GMP you should sanitize the tanks and hoses before and after use. You can also throw something else on the mix, I use 2% benzalkonium chloride for residual effect.
