Can we eat citric acid that we have purchased for cosmetic use
I have recently seen on internet that citric acid is very beneficial if we eat it and it is found in high quantity in lemon 🍋. My question is can i eat the citric acid that i have purchased and am using for cosmetic or it has different version for eating?
If yes then how much citric acid per day is safe to eat? -

If it is FCC grade citric the answer is yes. How much? Depends upon your acid reflux tolerance.

@chemicalmatt good. How much citric acid would be about the same as that in 10g fresh lemon water?

@Abdullah you have me there. I can only guess how much acid is in lemon juice squeezed. Probably more than I know.

I did some google search and found that it has 5-6% citric acid. I hope the information is correct.
