I have recently seen on internet that citric acid is very beneficial if we eat it and it is found in high quantity in lemon ????. My question is can i eat the citric acid that i have purchased and am using for cosmetic or it has different version for eating?

If yes then how much citric acid per day is safe to eat?

If it is FCC grade citric the answer is yes. How much? Depends upon your acid reflux tolerance.

@chemicalmatt good. How much citric acid would be about the same as that in 10g fresh lemon water?

@Abdullah you have me there. I can only guess how much acid is in lemon juice squeezed. Probably more than I know.

I did some google search and found that it has 5-6% citric acid. I hope the information is correct.
