I just want to ask on how do you dissolve the C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer especially in big companies for rinse off product? Do you buy the powder form and disperse it in water phase? Or do you buy the liquid form from the supplier? How is it done in big companies? I just noticed that C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer takes a lot of time to dissolve. Any tips will help here

You vortex it in with prop mixing for 15-20 minutes. There are other methods as well. Keep in mind it still needs to be neutralized and once neutralized can’t be mixed under shear. Lubrizol has multiple pdf’s walking you through the process.

Do you buy the solid form or the liquid form ( the pre-dispersed form ) of C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer? Which of the two do you recommend more?

Big companies have very efficient mixing equipments, so dispersing powders like this is not an issue. Yes, big companies (that I know of) buy the powder version, both for price (it’s cheaper) and for shelf life (aqueous versions last less).

Or, you may forget Lubrizol, bypass their powders and use Rapidgel EZ1 from 3V Sigma USA. Liquid format just drops in, already neutralized acrylate polymer, inexpensive, same electrolyte tolerance as Ultrez to stabilize emulsions or form gels. Whatever. Could not be easier, why they called it EZ.

Definitely a great product. I used it for a project successfully and I need to keep it in mind for a few future projects.
