    Hello’s!
Im quite a newbie in cosmetic formulations. I have been cold-pressing oils and trading oils locally in Kenya. I would like to formulate body butters and i have below ingredients:

    Shea Butter (Ugandan)
    Sweet almond oil (Indian)
    Coconut oil
    Avocado Oil
    Moringa oil
    Coffee oil (Green Arabica coffee)
    Jojoba oil
    Hemp oil
    Papaya seed oil
    Beeswax- White
    BASF Cetiol Sensoft
    BASF Cosmedia ACE
    Frankincense EO
    Tea Tree EO
    Carrot seed EO
    Rose Geranium EO
    Eucalyptus EO
    Cypress EO

I am looking for inspiration- great ideas, suggestions on percentages. Much appreciated.

You are asking for a lot of free info. What have you researched on your own yet?

Actually the best inspiration is to see what other successful brands do. Go to thebodyshop’s website and check their body butters. You don’t have to copy what they do but you can get inspired and make your own.

I have researched on body butters and mostly the formulation is:
    Shea butter 25%
    Mango butter 10%
    Sunflower oil 60%
    Beeswax 5%
    E-oils qs

I want to bring in sensory element (BASF pillow talk), smooth spread without drag..thats why I got some cetiol sensoft. The Cosmedia ACE as an emulsifier if I wanted to add some aqua based extracts, also a good thickener. My target is to achieve 98% organic claims.

To make a 98% organic claim, you’ll need to get certified by the USDA.
