I have seen a few Ceramides available on sites like MakingCosmetics and FormulatorSampleShop…but which has been shown to be the better option. I see some made with milk lipids, I see ones with glycerine, there is a ceramide complex that consist of many ceramides…And the recommended usage rate is 1-10% anyone feel like theres a good starting point?

It’s unlikely consumers will notice any difference so it probably doesn’t matter.
Use glycerin ones because then you at least get some humectancy.

My recommended use level is 0.1 %

@Perry Ok great. I’m just having a killer time finding cosmos approved ones for whatever reason that I can access. They’re out there but i cant seem to find them on the sites for small formulators. I see that Ceramide 3 is permitted but i found : Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract & Ceramide NP (ceramide 3) Found a Lacto Cermamide but again I cant find a COSMOS approval for it. COSMOS has EcoCeramide LCS, but I cant find this to buy anywhere…And simple Ceramide 3 is $275 for 10g! yikes.

    Yep, ceramides aren’t cheap.

@Perry Sorry for the prob very basic question, but can we only get ceramides from ceramide solutions? Can we get them from its source? Are ceramides found in oils or fats etc?
