This is a great demonstration of why ChatGPT is of limited use. It gave you bad advice (heating a fragrance oil is a BAD idea!) and then it just repeated back what you said - putting in too much oil could reduce viscosity.

It should have told you to use a solubilizer but that is not even mentioned.

i am asking same question on other website and it reply a decent answer

“There are a few things you can try to make the scent of your shampoo stronger without losing viscosity:

Increase the concentration of fragrance oil: While you mentioned that you don’t want to increase the concentration of fragrance oil beyond 1%, it is worth noting that some fragrance oils can be used at higher concentrations without affecting viscosity. Check the recommended usage rates for your particular fragrance oil and see if you can increase the concentration without compromising the shampoo’s viscosity.

Add a fragrance booster: Fragrance boosters are ingredients that can enhance the scent of a product without the need for higher concentrations of fragrance oil. Some common fragrance boosters include benzyl salicylate, limonene, and linalool. You can try adding a small amount of a fragrance booster to your shampoo to see if it helps to intensify the scent.

Use a different fragrance oil: Not all fragrance oils are created equal. Some are stronger and more long-lasting than others. If you’re not happy with the strength of the scent in your shampoo, you might want to try a different fragrance oil that is specifically formulated for use in hair care products.

Adjust the pH of your shampoo: The pH of your shampoo can affect how well the fragrance oil is able to adhere to hair and skin. If your shampoo is too alkaline, the fragrance oil may evaporate too quickly, resulting in a weaker scent. You can try adjusting the pH of your shampoo to make it more acidic, which can help the fragrance oil to last longer.

It’s important to note that any changes you make to your shampoo formulation should be thoroughly tested to ensure that they don’t compromise the safety or stability of the product”

The part about shampoo pH and fragrance lasting gave me a headache, hehe. Not sure what Chat(whatever) meant for alkaline and acidic related to a shampoo (you’ll always be above the isoelectric point of hair, especially when in contact with water).

Try to use water base fragrance ..

Also i see active ingrediants like saw palmitto and biotin vit e silk protien ..etc its very good for hair but in my point of view its waste.. the shampoo will stay maximum 1 min on you hair so no need to but all these active ingrediants may be vit b5 will be enough and keep all active ingrediants to make hair 15 min rinse mask after washing your hair by shampoo.

@ketchito sir, when should i add fragrance?
should i pre mix with CAPB and Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside and all oils include menthol. then add to water (SLES already in there)

or mix those and add to SLES before add to water

It depends on your fragrance really. Usually, it’s ok to add it directlt after the surfactants…but if it’s too oily and doesn’t have a good amount of solubilizers on its own, then you can premix it with your glucosides.

Why did you add Fixate 27? Usually, fragrance fixatives are already added to the fragrance by the supplier. I’d also remove the PEG-40 HCO (it could be actually solubilizing the fragrance, reducing its potency), since your surfactants should be enough to help stabilize the fragrance in your system.
