Hey guys, hope all is well.

I am working on a basic formula for a dry, itchy scalp spray. This is my first go at it. Haven’t done a test batch yet but i would love to know what you guys think? Is the sodium phytae/chelating agent necessary here? Is there anything you would add to improve it?

    A 72.30 Water

    A 10.00 Lavender hydrosol

    A 10.00 Witch hazel hydrosol

    A 0.05 Sodium phytate (Dermofeel PA-3)

    A 3.00 Glycerin

    B 3.00 Polysorbate 20

    B 0.10 Almond oil

B 0.50 Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) leaf essential oil

    B 0.05 Tocopherol - d-alpha 50%

B 1.00 Phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol (Optiphen)

Yes it is. I would use it at 0.5%. i would also add 0.4% allantoin and remove everything else other than preservative.

You should also first see what is causing th itch.
