Yes, it’s Sweet Basil—botanical name Ocimum basilicum.

It’s a stimulating, go-getting fragrance. Scientific literature reports that it sharpens your senses and concentration.

In “Essential oils used in aromatherapy: A systemic review,” published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine (2015), they described Sweet Basil as being useful when suffering from mental exhaustion and burnout.

And if you want to add that special edge to your important business meetings. Have a smell of basil. Or if you need to keep alert and be aware of your surroundings, try a basil pick-me-up.

The fragrance is fresh, sweet, and rather spicy.

Steam-distilled, and I source this oil from India.

It’s a top note. And adds a fresh lift to any blend. Try blending it with bergamot, clary sage, lavender, orange sweet, or rosemary.
