    Hello,

    Thank you for your help in advance.

    When incorporating pre preserved Aloe Vera juice into an oil mixture is further preservation required?

    Ive seen formulations both further preserved and not, and as oil isn’t typically preserved I’m unsure if Aloes existing system is sufficient.

    Thank you

    You preserve the final product to the level that it requires. The preservative in your aloe juice will not typically be robust enough for your final formula. But only testing of your final product can tell you for sure.

    My philosophy: when in doubt, add preservative.

    If it is anhydrous, you will need an emulsifier to incorporate the Aloe (hydrous) into the Formula.
    As a workaround, Hallstar (and some other companies) do make an anhydrous Aloe Product;
