  • A two-ingredient wonder.

In 2021, I received many requests from customers for a No-Fragrance, organic wash—something free from the usual foaming agents, detergents, thickeners, animal fats, and preservatives— used in mass-produced products and all known skin irritants.

So I formulated a two-ingredient wonder. Yep, just two ingredients. Water (Aqua), and Potassium Olivate (olive oil).

I produced this product using the traditional process of saponification. I only used extra virgin organic olive oil. Added a strong base(Potassium Hydroxide), and water.

The result is a golden-coloured liquid soap. A natural foaming cleanser rich in glycerine. It’s non-allergenic. And 100% biodegradable.

I named it Organic Castile Wash.

And the experience. Apply a small amount to your wet palm. You will immediately notice two characteristics that let you know it’s genuine Castile. First, the light clear amber colour. Second, a characteristic “nutty” fragrance common with natural Castile soap. Lather well in your palms. Then massage over your skin in a circular motion. Rinse well.
