Formulating with Potassium Cocoate, can it be highlighted as Coconut Oil?
In a formulation I am working on, there is Potassium Cocoate, which is made from/with coconut oil. It’s really important for the final product to be able to claim and highlight Coconut Oil for marketing purposes. I am not using straight Coconut Oil in the formulation and the INCI name for Potassium Cocoate is Potassium Cocoate and the ingredients are Water, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide. The ingredient label will list the INCI name but when describing the product and mentioning star ingredients on the packaging does anyone know if it would be acceptable to call out Coconut Oil even though Coconut Oil as a standalone ingredient is not present?
