Where to buy fragrance samples?
Posted by GeorgeBenson on January 18, 2022 at 3:35 amI am interested in how the larger companies go about choosing a fragrance for their products, if they work with fragrance makers or do it in house.
Also, for a smaller hobbyist like myself, do you have any favorite sources for fragrance oils? I have tried bramble berry and bulk apothecary with success but am looking to expand my options.
Thanks.

- As far as a vast selection….these guys are hard to beat….with 500 choices. I was able to find some nice scents for my latest deo project with them. They have a nice collection of knock-off colognes/perfumes.

Hehe….if that was me….I would hope for 3 good scents. I am just certifiable when it comes to fragrance.
I did get two good deo scents…out of I think about 18 I ordered this last round. But I had some insight from a friend that used to work retail cosmetics.
Ended up with a Creed and Jo Malone knock off.

I found this link helpful with them…as it put all the descriptions into one place:

@Graillotion I am the same way - out of these 50 samples I’ll be happy if I can come away with one good one. I usually combine 2-4 and make a custom blend.

I use natural fragrances and found Palette Naturals products very interesting.

I never thought you could (should) mix fragrances. Never thought it’s a good idea. But might give it a try
I’m struggling with a lot of fragrances. I don’t like them, but for some products they are kind of necessary. -
@Perry @Paprik maybe I’ve just been lucky but mixing fragrances has been great for me so far and it’s always consistent. I love blending to make unique scents that smell amazing.

Did you get anything good?
I sent you PM.
