    Hello Everyone,

I have been trying out clarifying shampoo for my hair. I have identified the surfactants I have the most access to and would like your honest opinion on whether it makes sense. I have Coco Glucoside on the way and hope to incorporate it later

    Thank you

    Sodium Lauryl Sulphate 20%
    Coco Betaine 14%
    EDTA 0.1%
    Xantham Gum 0.5%
    Germall Plus 0.5%
    Peppermint EO 1%
    Citric Acid 0.3%

That is ASM. Thanks for your comment regarding the EO, will reduce to 0.5

Also, you probably don’t need the xanthan gum. You could adjust the viscosity using sodium chloride (salt).

0.5% is five times too much peppermint oil.
