What has happened to the 65mm double-wall pot? We used this size (2 oz or 60mL) for the last few years and all our labels are for it, but recently we have been unable to find any supplies. Companies try to sell us the 58mm design instead but I really don’t find it attractive and our labels won’t work on it.
I have just had to do an emergency change over to a 70mm design from McKernan Packaging (EJ-28615) which being a US import and priced in dollars has doubled my cost for that size. So now with a 70g instead of 60g product we have to increase our prices as well as design three new labels for each product.

We’ve also had a hell of a time trying to source wide mouth glass jars in any size between 50 and 100 grams. Finally had to bite the bullet, up our MOQ and source overseas.

Richards is the same as McKernan, the 65mm jar has ceased to exist.
Wholesale Supplies is only selling the 58mm which I hate, and my source cost for that model here is roughly 70% of the US prices. But thanks for trying!I have just bought 600-off of the black 70mm pots, tops and liners and I can live with that MOQ. I’m about to buy a trial run of 50g airless pump which to my surprise I found here in Mexico at a good price and low MOQ. I also found a super nice 400mL shampoo bottle and 75mL atomiser so I have quite a lot going on with packaging right now. Oh and I have to design the box for the airless pump and the product leaflet too! Argh!

It seems that in tight economies many bottle suppliers are rationalising their stock and reducing the number of lines they carry. We have been battling this challenge for some time, and finally decided to bite the bullet and import 50,000 bottles from a manufacturer China. As the lead time is 6-8 weeks, challenge now is determine exactly when we should re-order. Oh, and did I mention the storage space required….another challenge. But in the end these challenges are insignificant to the supply issues we were experiencing previously.
