Here’s a pretty good video demonstrating how and why aging is programmed right in your cells.

I’m still trying to figure out this whole Hayflick Limit idea.

It said that if supplied with a supporting telomerase-activation nutrient, cells would have been capable of staving off replicative senescence, or even possibly reversing it. This is on cells level. But if there is a real substance can do this effectively on human body. Longevity would be possible, isn’t it?

Indeed. Although, that is what makes many cells cancerous so it may not be a good thing.

We just received a question on the Beauty Brains asking if the Hayflick limit will cause you to run out of new skin if you exfoliate. The answer is “no” but you’ll have to wait until next week to learn why. (End of unabashed plug.)

Yes, that question prompted me to think about the Hayflick limit and wonder…if cells have a Hayflick limit of 50 and skin cells divide every 3 weeks, why don’t all of our skin cells die after 150 weeks?

I’ll give you a hint: it has to do with stem cells versus fully differentiated cells.
