Thanks Bobzchemist. I’m in a role where I write a lot of technical support to claims. I’m always being challenged to support my information with references. My comments about the oils are something I know as a formulator from experience but was trying to explain to groups that don’t have the formulation background. For example, wax as a thickener is common knowledge, but here, you CAN find a ton of references to this all over the industry.

Both of the examples are liquid oils in their physical state. An oils physical state, liquid, is offering other solid ingredients more flexibility, no? For example, the liquid oils could improve the brittleness of a hard wax.
