How effective is it compared to petroleum jelly? Will penetration enhancers help absorb these occlusives or are they too big either way? Thanks for helping me!

Most of the ingredients have low comedogenic ratings I believe. I just don’t want to shell out greedy prices for salicylic acid lotions, which is why I asked if this would work or not.

MemberSeptember 15, 2015 at 2:08 am in reply to: Moisturizers effective in rinse off products?I have googled and there isn’t much information on specifics. I’m trying to keep my skin healthy and was wondering which moisturizers are effective in surfactant solutions (rinsed off). Silicone? Triglycerides? Or should I just use a moisturizer after I shower? Seems no one is interested in giving their perspective besides you, thanks for at least answering.

Okay, but Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is still a better choice for skin health?

And I know different oils have different drying effects when saponified. What oil would be most gentle in that regard, in your opinion? My guess would be canola, olive, or Shea.

Most cleansing bars are based off Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, a very mild surfactant that doesn’t damage the acid mantle or remove protective lipids like alkali soap. Are you a chemist?

Certain surfactants are suppose to be better for skin than soap. You know like Vanicream’s cleansing bar.
