Acceptable???I wonder if it would not make sense to have those high plate counts as it is an extract from a fungus? unless it was irradiated or sterilised in some other manner to reduce the inherent contamination of such an extract, but then would the supposed benefits of this extract be diminished by doing so?

If this is something intended to be applied during a microneedling service the solution would need to be sterile. So you would have to be able to conform to the relevant ISO standard for sterile products I can’t remember the # of the top of my head. But realistically it’s impossible to do your self unless so better to source it.

If you are Allergic to something you must have had prior exposure to the ingredient to become Allergic to it. The reaction can occur or spread to any part of the body and the severity is not dose dependent. Can occur immediately or sometime after application and last in some cases for extended periods of time several weeks.
A Sensitisation reaction is localised and severity is dose dependent. Usually Manifests immediately on contact. Unusual to last more than 48 hours after application generally subsides after removing(rinsing) the ingredient.
The only products I use with fragrance are body wash don’t really care if it’s synthetic or natural as long as it smells good to “Me” and doesn’t irritate. Funnily enough I haven’t used fragranced facial cosmetics in over 10 years. but I still can’t help to give it a sniff test before using! We really do rely on our olfactory senses more than we realise.

@Pharma thanks so much for your input ☺ I really appreciate it. I’m so glad I asked. It really sounded way to good to be true. You can never really rely on manufacturers data and marketing. Might still be a good idea to capitalise on it’s marketing as it’s not as prevalent or well know of an ingredient in the skin care realm. include it as a claims ingredient give people something new to talk about!
