MemberJuly 11, 2021 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Neutrol MGDA Compared to Traditional Chelating Agents?Have you tried getting a sample? BASF will generally connect you with a rep who will want to know usage rates, etc. and they work primarily with Commercial accounts. I don’t believe their products are repacked very often. https://www.ulprospector.com/documents/1614169.pdf?bs=75&b=3568294&st=20&r=na&ind=personalcare -

What have you tried already? That is a big question and the Forum is not meant for free Formulas.

This Forum is to help people with projects, not to get free Formulas.

If you use a reputable supplier, you will get testing results and documentation. I have a stock of this reports about an inch thick just of these documents.Any product you use in a retail product should be standardized by analytical testing. It is good science and believe me, any reputable seller will demand it.I definitely understood the oblique references to other goodies. Many people in the field believe that should THC be decriminalized, we will see a shift away from CBD.My client has sold over 75,000 pieces of our Formulation. Nobody has ever pushed back on the small presence of THC. That is objective data.

The entourage effect refers to the potentiation of effect when THC is used at 10:1 THC:CBD or even 20:1. If you read the early Israeli studies it is discussed at length. We are making a CBD emulsion and the extraction facility produces the extract. This is required in NC where the company is.We include the Squalane in the lipid partition. The DEA is still silent, but their current opinion is if your product has greater than 0.3 mg/mg percent, you have an illegal product. The lack of a definitive answer thus far has many extraction facilities worried.Based upon what I have learned at an FDA conference, I would not extract my own CBD unless I could test it for standardization.

Dtdang said:@Microformulation, Is vitamin E added to Hemp for improving stability? We will add Tocopherol to the final Formulations, but honestly some CBD suppliers do and some don’t. You have little control over the supplier. They will include it in the compositional breakdown. For example, we wanted our CBD in Squalane (do your research on that), and can only get it in MCT.

Phenoxyethanol as a sole preservative is not likely enough. Also, if you research, you can see it also can cause some transient irritation.

Actually the FDA will hold you responsible for any drug claims in your featured reviews if they are on your platform. They feel you have control of the content. I have seen this happen in actual practice and it is often referenced in enforcement letters. I know it was enforced way back when with some Essential oil MLM’s.

Hair growth is a dangerous claim to ignore. A quick search will find NUMEROUS FDA Enforcement Letters against this claim. Great way to get a visit. https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/soleo-567046-12132018

That particular unit is horrible. I ended up with two of them (one still in the packaging) at a plant I helped liquidate. You should get an overhead mixer before you get a homogenizer. If your processes call for a homogenizer, look for something from IKA or Silverson. They hold up well and even a used one would perform radically better than that junk.

You don’t do preservation testing in an incubator. It is a micro test.
-
Hemp Seed and Grapeseed oil are also two of the most oxidatively unstable.

1. Vegecide is not the greatest stand-alone preservative. It requires rigorous technique and would still need to be proven by PET. Aspen Bark is not as well.2. Leucidal also is a horrible preservative. Search in the group.3. The amount of water in the aqueous phase has no impact upon if it is O/w or W/O.

Not sure about the price (it is reasonable), but for portables, we use Jenco ph610B Bluetooth meters. They test both temperature and pH. They use Bluetooth to display, record, and save the results. We even screen clip the readings and save them in the process records.

I have seen these lines attest in their marketing that Sodium chloride is drying to the hair and/or will increase breakage. Bunk.
