    @zaidjeber,
    I had written the www link in my last posting but somehow it appeared as a direct video visual. Anyways, u can search “Xanthan gum 2% powder wetting in water” in Google videos and you will get it.

    Hello friends,

    In my search for finding an efficient Mixer for Xanthan gum and such other viscous solutions,  I just came across one video which seems to be a very interesting option for this type of task and I thought I should share it with you people. :)

    Please have a look at this video and leave your advices & comments. It has very simple but quite efficient blade design and the mixing intensity…..is awesome! 😮

    @chickenskin !

    Thank you! Your first suggested option was already in my mind and now I will try both of your options.

    This seems to be a very good option but unfortunately I am not in USA, I can’t source such Sprayer in my country…. :'(

    Still will try…..

    Hello DrBOB,

    You mean instead of normal pump spray if I opt for propellant based aerosol type delivery then this may help in drying fast on skin? However in this case I am wondering how I would take trials on a small scale in a lab with propellant gases and cans….!

    What rheology modifier you would suggest here?

    Can you give any sample formula/recipe idea relevant to this case?

    @johnb : Thanks for pointing this out as now even I am being suspicious about its stability in 100% aqueous solution according to some other references….

    @Bobzchemist : Yes, you are right. Surfactants with high content would be problematic.

    Probably, instead of using it in aqueous solution, I have to find another way.. :/

    @Ameen & @Belassi:
    Yes, I tried this too but there were number of issues like suspension stability, emulsion stability (if made o/w type) due to alkalinity, stickiness, white powdery layer on skin & staining on shirt, etc to name a few….

    Not sure about long term safety of the sulphate salt or its effectiveness for this application.

    You are absolutely right. Still, based on my recent efforts and results I’m trying if I could do something good here!  :)

    Your suggestions and advises are always welcomed!  :)

    Dear John,

    Emollient and some silicones help reduce surface tension at some extent which ultimately helps in drying a bit fast, still not enough though as you pointed.

    MgCl2 does give good result in suppressing bad odour however the performance fluctuates at different pH and I am still working on it to optimize.

    Sorry but I did not understand your last sentence (my native language is not english!).

    On normal unshaved skin it stings very little, sometimes negligible, but on recently shaved (even after a few hours of shaving) it stings quite high with burn type feeling.

    Regarding alcohol : as I want this product to be ‘alcohol-free’, I can’t use it.

    Trying to find an emollient/humectant or a water soluble silicone which could help me here…..

    Yes you might be right but I tried with 12-15℅ and it seems to work good omitting bad odor for a day but still gives stinging at start. I don’t want to use alcohol as my this will add more burning feeling and I want to make the product alcohol-free as well.
