  • Hi guys thank you for all your responses. I do have preservative in the formulation.

    PHENOXYETHANOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN (EUXYL 9010) 1.00

Also I do have Chelating agent

    Disodium EDTA  0.20

    I was think maybe Light.
    This formulation contains CBD  0.9.
But this much color change I was wondering. Specially cause of the lines of color.
    It got me confused.

Yes I agree with you. In use test is important factor. But does that effect the stability or only the PET or microbial ?

My co worker today said that the Accelerated Stability test is not good enough. As only when air enters into the product do we actually know if the product is stable.
He said that when the product is kept open then only does oxidation take place and that when placing it in the oven Oxidation does not take place.
And when we put the product in the original packaging and then place it in the oven the air does not enter and it does not even undergo oxidation.

I feel the oven give us the chemical stability. Even if the product is in the pump bottle or not it can still undergo oxidation.

Also do you think when the product is new formulation does it have to be put on 45℃ at 60%RH for 3 months a must Right ?
I was used to working for pharmaceutical before for us it was a must for FDA approval. But here cosmetics I am not too sure.

Because again my co worker said that it is not a must to do that. He feels that only way to know product is stabile is to again check how the product will act when pumping it out over a period of time in exposer to air.

So my lotion batches are still on Stability at 50degrees C and non of them have turned yellow this time now.
I thought most would and only one would not.
I have no clue who the culprit is now !
I guess Ill make the whole batch together again and see what happens.

I threw out the batch that turned yellow but to be more specific it was a bright yellow color.
I am not sure if the smell was bad at least to me i felt it was the same. The butter smell was strong little more than before.
Yes ill will let you’ll know who the culprit ! I put the batches in the oven yesterday.

Actually I agree with you .
I too realized that people just look at YouTube and try here and there and feel they are formulator all of a sudden. And on the other hand we take trouble in getting that degree.
    It just not right.

I tried C12-15 alkyl benzoate 85%, Polysorbate 80 15%. but the Polysorbate again separated below. Is there another surfactant or emulsifier that can help ?

If I use only oils my formulation stays in the face.
I need something that will take out the makeup and come off from the face too as if it stays the person will have to use another face soap to take it out.
I was trying to make it remove dirt and makeup and come off automatically too.
You have ideas on how to do that?
