    @Gordana  actually cetyl alcohol and cetyl palmitate  are not emulsifiers they are just oil ingredients , and as i guess it is w/o cream so glyceryl stearate by it self can lead for that type of emulsion .
    Geogard 221 is good idea i guess.

    @Yasmine i’am also trying beewax in emulsion and i got verry acceptable texture ,i guess the problem is from formulation not ingredients so for cream i’am sure to have w/o cream beewax can be good solution may in lotion is not, however in case of sunscreen cream is a good idea.
    Second thing for suspension zinc oxide or titanuim you can do it in oil pomade and you will get verry lovely texture without the need of emulsion so you will be more sure about product’s stability .

    @tanelise actually i had not borax however i tried  NaOh with beewax and i got very stable emulsion , but i’am sure that it works also with borax .
    The reason i go for borax that it is milder base comparing to Naoh and even the origin lol with with borax i was obliged to try it with NaOh because i did not find borax . Give the Lol and i will check it for giving advice .

    @Gordana may be glycerin and stearic acid are used as glyceryl stearate wich is an emulsifier .

    @bekas as a solubliser peg 40 is used 3:1 so for your case i guess 4,5% will be good.

    @AbdulRahim  i made a lot of experiences using CAPB and i’am sure that if it is good quality it will never cause cloudy effect , so you just need to verify if it is really  from CAPB . If it is , so the problem is the quality of it not CAPB by it-self .

    i will try it @Belassi
    @Pharma actually the plan is using potassium citrate  in hot process wich will help for faster saponification .

    @dodipharma in liquid form just mineral oil and vegetables one are not mixcible cause mineral are not polair however vegetables are less or more polar so that difference of polarity make them not mixcible in liquid form .

    @mhart123  great job . So the second plan you can use 3:1 parts ( solubilizer: menthol ) it will almost work however you will use 30 %  solubilizer wich is too much or try high level of alcohol ( ethanol , ISP)  try differents level to find the minimum required level to solubilise 10 % of Menthol .

    @dodipharma mineral oil is apolair oil vegeteble oils are slighty polair so in liquid form almost you will obtain two phases .

    @ngarayeva001  about such problem i think that the more we intrduce wax ( the more viscosity) then the more stable product we make .

    September 20, 2019 at 10:42 am in reply to: Unorthodox waterbased pomade!

    @bgeorge about calculating hlb for 8 % ( 5%PEG 40 and 3 % Lecithin)  , hlb = (hlb (peg40) × 5 + hlb (lecithin)×3 )  /  ( 5+3)
    AN : hlb = (15×5+ 3×7)/ 8 = 12.
    About level use of emulsifers may 1/3  (oils phase without clay)  will be good.
