under those conditions you can do at least 6—-consumer product testing depending on how you set it up(400 people minimum blinded or branded-with or without a concept:monadic or benchmark) adds about 3months/product.My comments were based on large company requirements to get to a regional test market prior to national rollout.A different scenario!The real message is what is to be learned regarding consumer acceptance and insights into consumer perception ie halo effects etc..What we think we do in the lab is not always translatable into a satisfactory product until tested via the consumer versus a commercial benchmark.

When i was at JNJ as Mgr. of New product Development MBO s consisted of coming up with two-three new products per year, which at least reached the stage of a product test from which insight is gained into the need/wants of the consumer(through studying the internals).Cosmetics and personal care products are continuously evolving and may have the highest turnover rate in the Consumer products arena So curiosity and creativity has to extend into the marketplace.Net/net find out what are they looking for and how to best get it to them as attitudes/demographics are constantly changing.

this bar is totally syndet (no soap) and expected ph should be 6.5-7.5.Also there is no water listed and bars of this type usually have 3-5%.

You have to make a known %weight solution preferably at use dilution 8-10% before taking PH.

The INCI name for sulfosuccinate should be Disodium Lauryl sulfosuccinate which gives a copious soap like lather with acyl isethionate(SCI).The cocco sulfate gives bar flash foam:not a bad formula in general.I would not be concerned with reactivity of LA with SCI: what is the Ph of 8% solution which is bath dilution for consumer use?Product is likely molded and not plodded as it lacks an internal plasticisor.There is much more but have to go to the gym.Do overnight weight loss for slop and 3 hour soak for cracking and compare to Dove and/or ordinary soap if you can get it.

Finally found out the query was for neutralization of alkyllbenzene sulphonic acid together with Oleic acid using KOH in-situ. suggested he get samples of each finished pre-neutralized material and mix.Applicaion was not disclosed.

Johnb is right why complicate things just buy the materials neutralized and mix as you desire

Now you get my point.Respectfully I have carried out hundreds of sulphonations (big deal) and was in on conversion of branched chain alkylbenzene sulfonates to LAS together with the incorporation of the later into consumer products.

I took it to mean oleum H2SO4.SO3 as used in sulfonation of Alkylbenzene but this is not relevant to fact you cant just mix these ingredients together as sulfonation is exothermic and requires special handling.Henkel uses SO3—-https://www.google.com/patents/US5294726-net/net this is not formulation :it is process development.I dont think query belongs in this forum.

#Belassi Surfactant good wetting and dispersant:sulfonate group on first carbon (opposite end of carbonyl moiety could make it a good lime soap dispersant.I am sure there are other suppliers but see:
