problem is as particles become smaller Thermodynamic instability via Oswald Ripening(OR) takes over gradually leading to sedimentation via Crystal growth,micro size you may stand a chance with polymeric stabilizer that does not increase viscosity of oil.I don’t know of any but even still total prevention of OR at the solid/liquid interface is unlikely.

By suspend assume you mean solid actives and answer is no as Stokes Law (settling) like sand in water will come into play sooner or later.A nano dispersion may work.

I don’t think USP grade glycerin is banned in Canada.Vegetable glycerin is derived from Palm oil mainly while animal is Tallow derived.Should be little or no difference as USP grades are vacuum steam distilled and or carbon filtered to meet USP standards.

Ceteareth 25 is more waxy because of higher eo content and will add viscosity and rheology control compared to 20.Both are good oil/water emulsifiers with similar HLb values of 15.2 for 20 and 16.3 for 25.You can also blend them if desired to tailor the foregoing properties.In a water based pomade i would lean to 25.

I think you should develop your own test but freeze/ is not the way.You know that centrifuging at 5000 rpm for 30 minutes gives you a shelf life of about six months.What happens after 60 minutes? Actually what is time/temperature relationship between separation in ambient temperature/time and time required centrifuging required to get a two year shelf life?

OK so the formula is freeze/thaw stable and if it were time/temp stable initially you shouldn’t have this problem with the formula unless you changed the process in scale up so as i said above the formula is basically time/temp unstable.

Vanzan-NF C works very well with carbomers to provide clarity and increase viscosity particularly Ultrez 10 and 21.We have many products formulated with this combo.

Only suggestion is to add 3-5% zinc stearate for spreadability and I agree you do not need preservative as per Bill Toge.

yes Simugel I-NS 100 at 0.5-1.0% should do it.

myalcin Hi-—it is time/temp dependent so you have to put at 50C for at least 4 weeks and monitor weekly;you should see it within two weeks at 50C,Centrifuge is only a short term indication and we would never market a product without doing the 50C for four weeks:you can also do 38C for three months and monitor monthly.It has never failed me with these types of products.
