What Journal-documentation and clinical tests are you basing this on? Cremaphor BASF eo adducts of hydrogenated castor oil

Yes also do Ross Miles foam test for both foam HT and 2 minute stability. If you do not have an RM column, you can do graduated cylinder shake test
-
In addition we do safety 48 HOUR human primary irritation followed by RIPT as volume of sales expand.

That is all you need for preservation. After adding take Ph the next day as it has to equilibrate o/n—-should be 5-5.5.

Geoguard Ultra at 1%-germaben contains parabens

Natrasol will flatten the lather so you may need another thickener but follow Bellasi also and make K soaps first.

MemberSeptember 5, 2017 at 2:42 pm in reply to: Suspending actives in anhydrous formulaproblem is as particles become smaller Thermodynamic instability via Oswald Ripening(OR) takes over gradually leading to sedimentation via Crystal growth, micro size you may stand a chance with polymeric stabilizer that does not increase viscosity of oil.I don’t know of any but even still total prevention of OR at the solid/liquid interface is unlikely.

Try propanediol or DMI should work.

Ceteareth 25 is more waxy because of higher eo content and will add viscosity and rheology control compared to 20.Both are good oil/water emulsifiers with similar HLb values of 15.2 for 20 and 16.3 for 25.You can also blend them if desired to tailor the foregoing properties. In a water based pomade i would lean to 25.

MemberAugust 31, 2017 at 12:01 am in reply to: Remedies For stability problems of emulsionsI think you should develop your own test but freeze/ is not the way.You know that centrifuging at 5000 rpm for 30 minutes gives you a shelf life of about six months. What happens after 60 minutes? Actually what is time/temperature relationship between separation in ambient temperature/time and time required centrifuging required to get a two year shelf life?

MemberAugust 28, 2017 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Remedies For stability problems of emulsionsOK so the formula is freeze/thaw stable and if it were time/temp stable initially you shouldn’t have this problem with the formula unless you changed the process in scale up so as i said above the formula is basically time/temp unstable.

yes Simugel I-NS 100 at 0.5-1.0% should do it.

You need to add thickener.what is viscosity and PH now?

MemberAugust 25, 2017 at 4:58 pm in reply to: Remedies For stability problems of emulsionsmyalcin Hi-—it is time/temp dependent so you have to put at 50C for at least 4 weeks and monitor weekly;you should see it within two weeks at 50C,Centrifuge is only a short term indication and we would never market a product without doing the 50C for four weeks:you can also do 38C for three months and monitor monthly. It has never failed me with these types of products.
