Hello dear formulators, my question: there is no Ascorbic acid (vit C) in the formulation supplied by Shujah. does it produced due to reaction?

thanks Belassi, I guess L`Chatelier principle of common ion reduces the eficiency of NaCl as thickener due to common ion accumulation when adjust the pH with NaOH.

thanks Bob and AJRC , I’m running test with Xanthan and guar gums. I will adjust the pH with trisodium citrate and citric acid.

thanks for your fast reply, I am reading about it, but preservative application is a complex task. Do you know any article that help me to make my choices for different formulations? eg. w/o or o/w emulsions, shampoos, liquid soap, etc.

what is the green point to using tallow in soap formulations? cows are killed to obtain beef not for tallow. Now we have more waste to dispose in the world.
