Opulyn 301, will give you good opacity. Buttermilk is what you will have instead of yogurt

Agreed on that persistent aeration,  rather go by john’s suggestion. If you have hot process, EGDS & cocomonoethanolamide gives a very beautiful pearlizing effect. Around 1.5% of each approximately.

Kathon CG is recommended 0.1% maximum so stick to that. You can buy yogurt but to eat and use surfactants in the formula as suggested by others here.

Check Dettol shower gel,  they have suspended polyethylene terephthalate using Aqua SF2. Works well and stay suspended.

Yeah I have a very thick product which you have to scoop with your fingers and it has a melting point. So you see it is indeed hard.

Is it a clear product, how hard you want the product to be? I have a similar product which is pretty stable at 45C and I just got rid of PEG-8 Beeswax without any problems. More so I got a better clarity, if you are looking to add PVP or any similar polymer then be ready to compromise with clarity. Can be anything from translucent to opaque white.

I noticed your formula doesn’t add up to anything,  how did you arrive at those percentages. BTMS is 28g which turns out to be 5%, posting a correct formula will help you get a more specific reply.
Cut down slightly on BTMS, and cut down by 80% your panthenol. Can play around with Aloe vera gel as you desire.

For me EWG translates into ‘Explanations Without Grounds’, never took them as part of the industry anyway.

Belassi are you sure it is 500cst as I have never come across that one. From 0.5 to 1 million I have used till now but never 500cst. As for mixing they are freely miscible and you can mix in any ratio till you reach the desired properties.

Won’t be worlds apart, surely you can give it a try since it’s just a difference in ethoxylation only.

@Belassi with all that perfection that will be a hot cake in my region,  period.

@Perry your take on such ads here which is basically a non commercial forum?

@Belassi in my region,  the claims are absolutely outrageous. You will be aghast if you read any of those claims on a product which is just a non-ionic concoction of few fatty alcohols and paraffin liquid.

You could add some mica for pearlizing,  though very impressive ratios you got there.  It is a great feeling once the products start doing well.

Certain products from CLR Berlin show quasi drug usage,  surely it is based on certain studies I suppose.

Yeah CETAC is indeed a nice and cheap detangler,  how about just adding coffee in a cationic formula and omitting licorice.  Should work if it works so nicely in your shampoo.

I concur with you then,  better use the salt you mentioned above. Could not think of any other conditioner which is either non-ionic or can tolerate the anionics. Polyquat H81 was mentioned by you once,  won’t work here?

How about the non-ionic one I mentioned above, SAPDA??

To the original formula with cationics?

Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine and some polyquat 10, skip the usual cationics here.  Polyquat 10 is cationic but u know it can be used if added at a certain step. And of course a combo of oils and silicones,  i m sure u know that much better.  And remember u always mentioned one pseudo cationic polyquat H81,  maybe it can help here.

@Bill_Toge absolutely brilliant explain,  was having an issue with my hypochlorite product. Now i have 2 variables,  head space and viscosity to consider.  Thank you again for such a brilliant insight.

That gotta be the worst copying I have seen of an LOI, don’t trust a single word of it please. As @johnb pointed out, how can a water based pomade be without water in LOI. And Kaolin among other things, that says a lot about the gravity of imperfection here.

@ashish It will form a clear emulsion provided he gets rid of all that extra stuff and which he is trying to copy. I have a very clear product with just the ethoxylate, MPG, glycerin, PEG-8 Beeswax and Polysorbate-20. PVP K90 can interfere with the refractive index and hence needs to be added in an optimum dosage say around 0.25-0.5%. This of course is in context to my clear formula.
