Ethocel 100 Premium from Dow and then check Croda

Amit what was the order of addition, did you neutralize the carbomer first (which seems to be the case as you mention the breakdown of the gel)??? Haven’t done a gel myself with IPA but I don’t see any issues with IPA as there are tons of sanitizers with IPA in them.

My god, why would you need to apply anything on to feed. THE BABIES ARE PROGRAMMED TO SUCK, BY NATURE.

And formalin, run for the hills!!!! -

MemberMarch 6, 2020 at 3:28 pm in reply to: How to formulate sulfate free body wash with 15% glycerin and 10% oil ?That product brief by your customer shows that you need to take a step back and bid adieu to this business opportunity. My god those are some crazy numbers that can be accommodated in a shampoo formulation. Shampoo is supposed to get rid of oils, dirt, sebum, etc. and not infuse 10% oil into hair. Let the hair oils and hair serums do the job of oiling in my opinion.

Neutralize the carbomer first and then add the PVP solution.
Polyquaternium -4 is a cationic, try with and without as carbomer is anionic. -
Make a 1% solution in one of the emollients and then add it to the formulation.

MemberMarch 1, 2020 at 1:07 am in reply to: How to formulate 60% IPA based hand sanitizer gelShould be Ultrez 20/21 dispersed in water first. Neutralize with AMP-95, then slowly add the IPA to the gel while stirring/mixing. Also please check the neutralization ratios to get an optimum pH.

MemberFebruary 29, 2020 at 3:34 pm in reply to: How to formulate 60% IPA based hand sanitizer gela) Order of addition is pretty important
b) In case Ultrez 20 failed, then stick to good old carbomer 940 which gives the highest viscosity. Clarity might be a tad low though.c) Why the polysorbate 80?? -

MemberFebruary 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Transparent Body/face scrub - transparency problemIncrease the pH to neutralize the polymer, otherwise it won’t do the job it is supposed to I do. What does the TDS of that polymer says about the final pH adjustment????

I suggest pre made available products, melt and pour.

UCON Fluid 75-H-450 in the IL is somewhat responsible to reduce the stickiness.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but do you think a preservative with Benzyl alcohol may do the similar discoloration of dyes in hair gel as well @chemicalmatt
