For polish i prefer silicone or silicone gum with some wax like carnauba or , do some dilution using odd and IPP or IPM, for shine just add phenyltrimethicone , the result will whine much longer ( in my formulation up to 2 weeks), don’t using oil because it will trap dust and need repolish in this formulation no need use preservative since it not contain any water

I had preferred paraffin oil because i have found that it’s a much cheaper than any type of silicone plus i  get alot of separation with all tries with emulsions .

could you suggest a formula doesn’t contain Water .?
    - paraffin - IPM - phenyltrimethicone - pefume oil - antioxidant

    hi there

For a normal Air Freshener, 10 % Perfum is way too much. if scent sensation is not good enough with lower concentrations you should find a better spray nozzle that distributes the product finer to the air so that it will not separate so fast from the air (Aptar has something in the portfolio for that). normally I would say perfume for an air Freshener is between 1-3 % more is a lot.

pure Isopropyl is possible but not necessary if you dissolve your perfume in isopropyl alcohol you can start adding water in small portions until it gets foggy. then choose 5 % less water and you will be mostly fine and still able to add some water, which is more Price-efficient.

although you may encounter issues with labeling if you use that big amount of Iso you will be flammable and you need to label that which can be difficult because there is much non-flammable Air Freshener in the market at least as long as you are not in an Aerosol can.

    hope that helps

    Really helps me alot ,
Many Thanks for your very valuable suggestions Dear ,

the main reason of this option is the availability of ISO in my country plus no any separation probabilities.

and for uses i found that the floor doesn’t get wet with normal formulas based on water , doesn’t stain the clothes and carpets .
and I suggest the we can use less perfumes concentration.

    i am still trying
    thanks again

@bahey Natural oils tend to leave a heavy (oily and sticky) residue, but if it works for you, that’s fine. Don’t forget to use an antioxidant.

    Many thanks
i have tried many time it’s sounds good with no big difference compared with silicone or paraffin oil in end result

@bahey You cannot solubilize Paraffin oil using PEG-40 HCO. As @ozgirl mentioned, if you want to make an emulsion, use traditional systems (like PEG-100 stearate/Glyceryl stearate plus fatty alcohols). If you want to solubilize it, Isopar H is a good choice.

    ????????????????

From memory I think that Amor All is silicone based. There are probably patents available for this product that would give you that information.
Definitely check out Dow for formulation guidance. Wacker Silicones might also have some information too.
Try using a combination of low HLB and high HLB emulsifiers to emulsify paraffin oil. https://www.lankem.com/post/the-hlb-concept

I will try thank you ????

@bahey I assume the rest of your formula is mainly water, rigth? If that’s the case, I’d prefer to increase the level of your alcohol rather than to increase the solubilizer. Increasing alcohol will let fragrance bloom, while increasing the solubilizer in a water-based system will make some of the fragrance be solubilized and not available for performing properly.

    That’s which i meant .
I had increased solubilizer and it masks the fragrance. So i am thinking do add only alcohol and fragrance and increase the price

This formula from Fragrance supplier but the oil was separated on the surface of the batch so i had increased Tween20 to 6 %
but the smell was very low !

I make spray air freshner using 2.5 parfume, with nearly 60 % alcohol(low odor ethanol) , and  20% propane&butane for propelant, no need to solubilized, since the fragrance have good solubility in high %alcohol

Neroli + Sandalwood + Geranium + Menthol. In the right proportions, nobody can resist this.

Vanilla + Musk + hints of nuts.

Ethylene Brassylate(Musky) + Grapefruit essential oil and a couple of top notes

Coconut cream + Lime essential oil

Ethylene Brassylate + Lemongrass essential oil - made this for a surface cleaner, unbelievable

    Always creative! ❤️

    very interesting discussion
Can i make this percentage of propylene and glycerin with hand sanitizer liquid ( 70 isopropyl alcohol) because i have this sticky feeling with propelene alone or glycerin alone too
