I did place it and an SLES 25% liquid in freezer. After sometime this one solidified but SLES 25% was liquid. So i can be sure it is SLS not SLES as Bill said. -

That maybe the cause of Amodimethicone buildup from one of my shampoo. It had Amodimethicone, cationic guar and PQ10.

You need xanthan gum to prevent creaming.
If you have a film of oil on top increase your emulsifier.
If you want to reduce the viscosity reduce your oil phase or oil phase thickeners. -

Yes. They don’t clean as well as anionic

At 8% butter my emulsion was yellow but at 1% it was white.
Also emulsion with mustard oil was yellow -

Which is easier for the skin to replenish, protein or lipids?
Both because it is not too much.
These surfactants are among the mildest in there category.I personally don’t like amphoteric or non-ionic surfactant as main surfactant.

I think cerave would be milder for protein and dove for lipids

@ketchito what about SLS and ALS?
I will not formulate in very low pH. Any pH below 5 at which SLES can be stable is good.
How do you know if hydrolysis is happening so i can check up to what pH it is stable?
