As your batch size is too small, i think it is just air that has been mixed during homogenization coming out.

I did use Perplexity for only 10 minutes now and i like it more than chatGPT.
One question about these studies.
Why don’t they study sensitization rate of the upper limit of preservatives like 15ppm & 7.5ppm CMI MI instead of 200 and 2000ppm?
No one uses that high amount so no benefit of knowing what does that high amount do.

Sodium benzoate doesn’t have problem with low pH. Glyceryl Caprylate have.

Lauryl glucoside is APG12.
Coco and decyl glucosides are APG0812 mixture different ratios.

What much viscosity do you what and have you got?
What combinations and at what percentage have you used?

EntrepreneurFebruary 12, 2025 at 9:34 pm in reply to: Mixing different glucosides- does that make much difference for face cleanser?Decyl glucoside is a mixture of 60% capryl/caprylic glucoside and 40% Lauryl glucoside in active surfactants.
Coco glucoside is a mixture of 40% capryl/caprylic glucoside and 60% lauryl glucoside in active surfactants.

EntrepreneurFebruary 20, 2025 at 7:42 am in reply to: Effect of co surfactant on silicone deposition from shampooI have made of several versions of SLES CAPB. 8:2, 10:2, 12:2, 14:2 SLES: CAPB and with different amounts of silicone micro emulsion, 0.2-0.5%. but they don’t fell as good. With higher amounts of silicone hair feel oily but doesn’t feel as good as the one with MEA.

I suggest if you increased one of them, increase all others too.
I also suggest you make a sample with good old sodium Lauryl sulfate. I bet you would love it.

It is too much emulsifier. That is why it soaps. As graillotion mention, you should increase viscosity by adding polymers that increase stability too.
Try this combination, it will have less soaping.
Cetearyl alcohol 1.5%
GMS 3.6%
cetearteh 20 2.2%
-
Maybe there is problem with your raw materials or production method because those amount should give high enough viscosity.
Try adding some gums
-
With these emulsifiers Try 3% ceteareth 20+ 40% cetearyl alcohol or 2% ceteareth 20 + 2.5% cetearyl alcohol.
I recommend other types of emulsifiers.

EntrepreneurFebruary 12, 2025 at 7:49 pm in reply to: Patent explanation about mixing method of GHPTC and silicone micro emulsionThanks
Patent also says after gelling at pH 6, readjust pH to 9 to recharge cationic deposition polymer.
Is it necessary to re adjust pH back to 9 to make coacervate more homogenous according to this patent?
What is recharging cationic guar?
What ways can we do it?

EntrepreneurFebruary 12, 2025 at 12:34 am in reply to: Patent explanation about mixing method of GHPTC and silicone micro emulsionThis is UL patent and yes it is to make coacervate more homogenous.
What i didn’t understand is the method.
should i mix cationic guar and silicone at pH 9 for 20 minutes then adjust pH to 6? Or first adjust pH to 6 then mix for 20 minutes?

Thanks
About residual NaOH, for 1.5% citric acid, 0.9% sodium hydroxide is needed to adjust pH to 7. Now if 2% of my SLS has 0.9% residual NaOH in it, it means active surfactant percentage is less than 55% in this SLS powder. Am i correct or still messing something?
2% of this SLS powder needs 1.5% citric acid to pH 7.
0.9% sodium hydroxide needs 1.5% citric acid to pH 7.

EntrepreneurFebruary 5, 2025 at 8:37 pm in reply to: Guess 1% line in this Pantene shampooCan you mention the patent!
I have seen two patents with 1% sodium citrate but non of them like this.
By the way, does SXS suspend silicone too like EGDS does or no effect on that?
