Wonderful surprise!
Posted by Dtdang on July 20, 2018 at 12:22 amAccidentally, I add 0.5% xanthan gum to the thin lotion formula. It came out great surprise!
i feel good when applying the lotion on my face because of its cooling. But, it has little white grease. How do I reduce the white grease? But still keep the cooling.
Thank you so much for all comments.Dtdang replied 6 years, 7 months ago 6 Members · 13 Replies -

Belassi! Thanks a lot
you are right. I got hard time to mix the water phase because of gum. But it give the cooling feel when applying to face. I mixed gum to glycerin I do not get the cooling feel when applying it to face. I cannot explain it -
You can mix directly with water but you need to use high speed propeller mixing until it is completely hydrated.

Hi Belassi!
i have overhead mixer. But, I do not explain the cooling. The gum kept floating until heated to 160f, then I put it high speed mixing for 2 minute. How is the cooling from? -
Most likely the cooling effect is due to quick evaporation.
