They all can work. Dimethicone is generally the best but Cyclomethicone will evaporate so it won’t build up like the others can. Dimethiconol is water soluble so it can be more compatible with some systems. The answer depends on the formula.

    @Perry
    the formula is
     ceteareth 25 : 25 %
     Carbomer : 1%
    TEA : 1,5 %
    pvp : 4 %
    perfume : 0,4  %
    Preservative : 0,1 %
    Water : QSP.
Acoording to you wich is the best adequat silicone and wich is the lowest level can be used to rech disered shining effect.

Since it’s a leave-in product you could use Dimethiconol. Try 1% to see if you get the level of shine you want.

Cyclomethicone is volatile. It may help faster drying, but nothing remains on the hair.

Dimethiconol is not water soluble. At least not the one I bought.
IMO It leaves more of a wet-hair look than dimethicone does.

As @khoikhoa said, PTM is the best for shine but a bit pricey comparatively speaking. My other point is why would you add carbomer to this system. I am not sure if you have made any trials but trust me that 25% ceteareth-25 will be more than enough in that formula. PVP seems fine though and I have an identical formula except the carbomer. It is an extremely thick solution of ceteareth-25 and the processing temperature is almost 80 plus.

@Chemist77 carbomer in product gives better texture it will be easier in application then free carbomer .
    Thanks @Gunther  & @khoikhoa  for  help .

That’s a question only you can answer because only you know what you are trying to achieve.

“They all can work. Dimethicone is generally the best but Cyclomethicone will evaporate so it won’t build up like the others can. Dimethiconol is water soluble so it can be more compatible with some systems. The answer depends on the formula.”

@Chemist77 have you tried the formulation with carbomer?

No I was pretty pleased with ceteareth-20 as my main ingredient.
