Hello! I have recently been experimenting with a new face cream formulation, and the cream it makes is very nice and spreadable, but pills when it dries down and I rub my skin. If anyone has any ideas why this pilling may be happening, I would love some insight!

    formula:
     water phase:
     aloe vera juice: 52%
    blueberry extract: 6%
black tea extract in rice solution: 6%
    honey powder: 2%
    goat milk hydrolysate: 2%
    1,3-propanediol: 2%

    niacinimide: 5%
    oil phase:
    squalane: 5.5%
    blueberry seed oil: 8%
    kokum butter: 2%
    caprylic/capric/myristic/stearic triglyceride: 1%
    cetearyl alcohol/ glyceryl stearate/Almondeth-20 blend: 6%
    cetyl alcohol: 2%
    preservative: 0.5% germaben

    Too many film formers.
You have got aloe which is full of polysaccharides, rice solution that is basically soluble starch, honey that is just sugar, goat milk hydrolysate that is aminoacids and sugar, and niacinamide that is a solid.
I am not surprised your formula is pilling.
