  • Which form of Phytic Acid?

I’m looking on including 0.25% phytic acid in a toner formulation for it’s properties on sebum which appear to be linked partially with it chelating ability on calcium which decreases the viscosity of sebum for less blockages. Any other options besides Phytic Acid? The Phytic acid/IP6/phytate I’ve found all seem to be Calcium-Magnesium
InositolHexaphosphate. At around a weighted ratio of 4:1 IP6 to calcium/magnesium.

Is this form sufficient? The calcium already bound to it won’t be an issue? Thank you

You can get sodium phytate, haven’t seen a calcium version.

You can get Phytic Acid from Biosil Technologies or Dr. Straetmans’s.

Ah thank you. If I could ask one more question. Would fully buffered sodium phytate be fine in this application?
