  • When/how to incorporate silicone dioxide to formulation?

Posted by rosa on July 1, 2017 at 6:53 pm

    Hi,

I am making a face cream with silicone dioxide in it. It is at 3%. However, when I add it after about 20 mins following pouring together H2O and oil phase, it thickens immediately, so impossible to stir with over head emulsifier.

Can anyone give any tips on how, or at what stage to incorporate it?

    Regards
    Rosa
