By making hair oil containing uv filter with ingredients :

    Parafin oil

    Grape seed oil

    Tocopherylacetate

    D-Panthenol

    Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate

    Fragrance

I got a product with separation

    Note

*1 ( the bottle shown taken from the bottom of tank so the proportion of transparent phase and orange one are not real “in the tank the orange phase is too inferior comparing to shown bottle.)

*2 Orange color phase has exothermic effect.

So why the separation was happened? and why the orange coloration?

If that’s your full formula, I’d think that you have oils of different polarities, and that caused the phase separation. I’d advise you to chech the limit (and type) of polar oils you can mix with your paraffin. That color difference might be since paraffin is colorless and most of the polar oils you mentioned are not.

Yes it is full formula not developed by me just I found out that Panthenol is not soluble in the product as first mistake then the orange solution has very near viscosity to Vit E.

Note : we are making formula by adding ingredients one by one to identify the cause so paraffin oil + grape seed oil +fragrance +Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate seems mixcible without any issue with parrafin oil +fragrance +grape seed oil +Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate

Note :viscosity of orange phase seems too near to Vit E

Actually it is full formula and it is not my formulation just i want to correct it. So by searching D-Panthenol is already not liposoluble.

To find the cause of separation I added ingredients one by one so what I found out there it seems no issue
