So far, I have only used PEG-8 Beeswax and the results are a low to medium hold at 8.25%.  If I switch to regular white beeswax, would it be better in terms of hold?  I want to accomplish a firm hold.

Peg-8 is best used for water based formulas. Regular beeswax for oil based as it will not wash out easy otherwise. Both pretty much same “hold” factor.

May want to try some of the polymer fixatives.
