I am putting the finishing touches on a lite face cream….and was curious as to what percentage of super slippery ingredients the big name cosmetic companies are using (in a face cream).

I am using a blend of IL, IPM, Lauryl Laurate, cetyl esters, and a kiss of dimethicone.  This adds to about 9.8%.  (6% is IL)

My testers seem to love it…. Just curious what percentage the major players are using?

For lipids, i took out the jojoba esters as i’m testing with Isononyl Isononanoate + Triethylhexanoin, adds up to 9% or 10%, though i can up the percentage to 15% or 20% without issues since Isononyl Isononanoate seem to penetrate very quickly.

    Are you natural or not?
If natural you want to use Isoamyl Laurate, Silv Oliv, just natural alternatives to silicones and there are a lot.

Not an ester but sepimax zen is very slippery. I often add it just for that quality. Speaking of esters coco caprylate is.
