Hello guys. I need your help. I have raw materials; beeswax, cocoa butter, stearic acid, essential oil, castor oil, coconut oil, and DMDM. Can you guys recommend the formula for the strong hold? I am making a water based pomade. Thank you.

None of those are emulsifiers, and none are water-soluble. You’re not going to be able to make a water based product with the ingredients listed.

But the stearic acid and beeswax act as emulsifier right?

    Not by themselves, they don’t.

Stearic Acid can be converted into an emulsifier by saponifying it, i.e, reacting it with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide to produce sodium stearate or potassium stearate.
